3 Ways to Book an Inexpensive Disneyland Vacation

Updated: Feb 16, 2019

Going to Disneyland is one of my most favorite things to do. I never get tired of it, and I am a firm believer that it’s the happiest place on earth. It doesn’t take much to make me happy there – just being in the park brings me complete joy.

When it comes to hotel accommodations when I’m at the park, I can stay at a Motel 6 and be fine. I don’t care about where I sleep, as long as it’s not too far from the park. I once drove down and slept in the car for two nights because we weren’t old enough to get our own hotel. And although it got cold, I was still happy as a clam.

For our Disney trip this coming January, Dylan and I decided to splurge. We booked a room at the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. We are spending $2,000 more than we did on our trip in July 2015, but we didn’t make this decision lightly. I did the research, found the best deal, and we also promised each other it will be our only Disney trip in 2016.

The following are three ways to book an inexpensive Disney trip. It’s been all over the news recently how costs for tickets and passes have increased, but it’s still possible to find good deals online! Read on to see where I found great deals.

I have used Get Away Today for our last four Disneyland vacations. They normally have the best deals and discounts on both Disney hotels and the friendly neighbor hotels. When booking our upcoming trip, I was able to save $500 by booking through Get Away Today, and that was against discounted rates earned by participating in at DisneyRun event.

When using their site, almost all hotels require the purchase of park tickets – meaning it won’t be beneficial to annual passholders. Their discounted vacation packages are available all year long and on busy weekends and holidays.

Costco Travel

Costco Travel has some amazing vacation packages with many perks to booking through them, including gift cards, discounted dining, and more. Depending on when you book, they have many deals if you book a trip within the month. They also have the option to book your flight and rental car at the same time.

Although I haven’t used it, Costco Travel also has vacation packaged for Disney World, Disney cruises, Adventures by Disney, and Disney Aulani.

Calling central vacation line at Disney

Disney has amazing employees (cast members) ready to help you when you call in to book a vacation. They seem to really care about helping you to get the best deal that you can. Depending on the time of year, Disney provides discounted hotel rates and vacation packages.

When you decide to book your next Disneyland vacation, be willing to spend some time looking around online and calling in to find the best deal that you can! Saving money before will give you more to spend in the park!
