Escape to Great America

Dylan’s little sister, Kendra, wanted to go to an amusement park for her birthday. So, this past weekend we all headed to Great America, which is just south of San Francisco in Santa Clara. I was super excited because I have never been there and Dylan said it has more rollercoasters than Disneyland.

There’s really not much to say about our day. I mean, we rode rides, ate food, and had a blast, which is really all you do at amusement parks.

Overall, we had a really good time, and there were more roller coasters than at Disneyland, but there really weren’t that many overall. We were able to ride a stand up rollercoaster, one wooden roller coaster, and one other twisty one. Others weren’t working due to construction. And even Dylan said he thought some were missing that were there when he was younger.

But, we still had a great time and I think Kendra thought her birthday was great.

On our way back to Reno, we did make a pit stop in San Francisco. We went down to Pier 39 and I was able to stop by my favorite place, Boudin’s and get soup in a sourdough bread bowl!
