Brunch & Bubbly: My Lake Tahoe Bridal Shower
Updated: Feb 16, 2019
When I was trying to pick out dates for my bridal shower and bachelorette party, I was really struggling to figure out how I was going to get everyone to come to all the events I wanted to have. My bridesmaids are sort of spread out right now: Las Vegas, Malibu, Denver, and Reno. Having everyone fly to Reno a few times during the year for the bridal shower, bachelorette party, and wedding was just a little much.
My Maid of Honor, Micaela, and I decided the best thing to do would be have the bridal shower and bachelorette party all in the same weekend in beautiful Lake Tahoe. That way, we could sort of have everyone be able to come to everything! And we did it in July, two full months before the wedding.
Brunch & Bubbly
The theme to my bridal shower was Brunch and Bubbly, which was adorable. My mom and Maid of Honor set up a Mimosa Bar, a Biscuit Bar, and there were just adorable finger foods.
I mean, just check out this spread:
Bridal Shower Games
We also played classic little Bridal Shower games as build a wedding dress with toilet paper, Ad Libs, and trivia about the bride.
Here were the little print outs my mom made, and a few of us hard at work filling them out!
Then I read most of them out loud… Which was super sweet until we got to one that was “To make a relationship last you must be willing to try ____.” And one of my best friends put in “To make a relationship last you must be willing to try Anal.” – real great to read aloud in front of Dylan’s Grandma!
Next we played the toilet paper bride game, which was hysterical, dorky, and so perfect. Which dress do you love best?!
My little ring bearer, Dominic, sure loveddddd the toilet paper!
Seriously? How cute is he?!
Three of my bridesmaids and myself have been best friends since we were in 8th grade. This weekend was the first time we had all been together since high school graduation seven years ago. WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?!
She took so many amazing photos, I’m OBSESSED. Here are a few of the ones we took at the house:
My bridal shower was perfect. Absolutely perfect. It meant the world to me that all my friends and family came in from all over to be there for me. I love them.
But a big shout out to my amazing Maid of Honor, Micaela, and my mom and aunt for putting on the best brunch I’ve ever been to!
