Weekend Getaway to San Francisco – with my Mom!

Updated: Feb 16, 2019

My mom’s favorite singer was performing in Oakland this past weekend so my mom and I decided to take a girl’s trip to San Fran! So in today’s post, I’ll just be sharing a few of the highlights from our weekend!

Ferry Boat in San Francisco

So we stayed in London Square in Oakland to be close to the concert hall. I had no problem with this because it meant we got to take the Ferry into San Fran!

I love Ferry Boats. It’s a fun way to get a different view of the city! I took the main photo for this post (above) while we were on the boat! And this selfie:

Food in San Francisco

When I’m with my mom, we eat better. Mainly because she is somewhat picky, but also because she doesn’t like fast food. You’ll hear no complaints from me! We went to this little seafood spot neat Union Square. I had lobster ravioli and my mom had some sort of lobster fish dish. Both were amazinggggg. Gosh I love good food!

Shopping in San Francisco

We did a little shopping this trip. Went to Union Square area and walked through all the stores. I’m really excited about a soap I bought at Lush (who else dies over how amazing that store smells?!)

Equally as awesome, we stumbled upon a farmers market that was just wonderful! Had so many beautiful fresh things to admire!

Passenger Concert

And last, but certainly not least, we went to the Passenger concert at Fox Theater in Oakland. I first introduced my mom to his music when I made her a mixed cd of Florence and the Machine songs, and threw “Let Her Go” at the end of the cd. Since then, she’s been obsessed. She’s even met the guy! They were staying at the same hotel when she went to his concert in Portland.

His show is amazing, his voice is magic, and he plays all by himself up on stage. I am so glad we got to go!

I even made a small youtube video, check it out!

Weekend trips with mom are the best. I have to figure out how we can go on more!
